If so - is anywhere near Charley ?

Nanpantan is near Loughborough, and is in Charnwood borough.  Charnwood is shortened by locals to Charney

At the junction of Shells Nook Lane.

Which is 3.2. miles east of Charley

Thanks for the amazingly prompt replies.

That gives me something to go on now

I have posted another message on the Leicester look ups board about a George Marston b. 1890 Nanpanton -
but try finding him on ancestry - Nanpanton seems to have been wiped off the face of the earth - along with poor George.
