Hi Lindsay
FREECEN have Aberdeenshire 1841 transcribed 100%, and 1851 28% - you might find him on there - Don't forget 1841 Census rounded the ages down to nearest 5 yrs so he may one of the 15 yr old listed.

This may be him in 1841, perhaps with paternal grandparents.

Hi Lindsay
Just found this site: Peterhead Genealogy http://users.bigpond.net.au/phdgen/
It says it you can request a lookup of 1851 Peterhead Census, don't know if it is still active or not but worth a try.
Also has some BMD (at a glance I think all after 1855 ) and Lair data.
Cheers AMBLY

Hi, I have an Ann Davidson, born 1825 Peterhead, to Robert Davidson, shipmaster and Helen Dunn who were married in Peterhead 1825. I have a birth certificate for a Robert Davidson, born 1791 to an Alexander Davidson in Peterhead, but I can't tie Robert and Alexander together as there is so little to go on, apart from roughly the right names, age, dates, locations and trade. How does this match up with your records? Best wishes, Jimmijam
