Robert Davidson - Peterhead

I am looking for Robert Davidson who was born 22nd March 1823 in Peterhead.  I got this information from Scotlandspeople but it does not have a copy of his birth certificate online.  According to Roberts death cert (in Aberdeen in 1873) his parents were Robert Davidson and Margaret Milne.

I have found him in the 1871 census but would really like to know more about him before then - can anyone help?

FREECEN have Aberdeenshire 1841 transcribed 100%, and 1851 28% - you might find him on there - Don't forget 1841 Census rounded the ages down to nearest 5 yrs so he may one of the 15 yr old listed.

I THINK I have all his children - 12 in total!  Robert married Georgina Russel in 1845.  Their eldest daughter (b. Aberdeen September 1845) is Jane Rait Davidson (my g/g grandmother).  I'd really like to find where Robert and his parents lived in Peterhead.

It says it you can request a lookup of 1851 Peterhead Census, don't know if it is still active or not but worth a try.

Also has some BMD (at a glance I think all after 1855 )  and Lair data.

 Shocked  I am doing the DAVIDSON family tree Peterhead, But sadly haven't came across your Robert Davidson 1843 from Peterhead, but there must be a connection somewhere. Any more details?

Hi,
I have an Ann Davidson, born 1825 Peterhead, to Robert Davidson, shipmaster and Helen Dunn who were married in Peterhead 1825. I have a birth certificate for a Robert Davidson, born 1791 to an Alexander Davidson in Peterhead, but I can't tie Robert and Alexander together as there is so little to go on, apart from roughly the right names, age, dates, locations and trade.
How does this match up with your records?
