Hi,
This is definitely a long shot.
I am looking for the parents and siblings of George Rossiter born circa 1821 in Dorset. As far as I am aware he had a brother Benjamin and a sister Amelia, but there may well have been other siblings.Even though I know the names of some of the siblings I have no details about them.
George married Elizabeth ( maiden name unknown) but as he emigrated to Canada in the mid to late 1840's with his brother Benjamin, I do not know if he married here or in Canada.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Sorry no likely candidates in Dorset (or Devon) or anything definite in Somerset  There is a a George 16 and a Benjamin 15 in Whatley Somerset they are both working away from families, and an Amelia 20 in Frome Somerset also working away, but they are all listed as born in county.

Thanks for that. It's possible that the Dorset information may have been "duff". Can you post the details you found for George, Amelia & Benjamin please and I'll try to make some sense of it all.
