This is really sad - mum has died and they are in Northallerton Workhouse in 1871. James was having children quite late in life!!

Ellen age 10
James age 8
Mary age 6
Rose age 4

Dad was too old to work and support them. What is interesting is the 2 children on 1881 with Ellen in the Workhouse - Jane born 1876 and James born 1879 - are these Ellen's children
