I have an Elijah Brookes Born approx. 1814
On the 1851 Census for the parish of Audley,Staffordshire
he is shown as being born in Talk.
On the 1881 census he is shown as living in Durham
but his birthplace & that of his wife Sarah, is shown as
Falkomhill-Stafford. Where is Falkomhill?
Can anyone tell me who his parents were.

In 1871, it gives both of their birthplaces as being Audley, Staffordshire:
Elijah Brooks (Head) born about 1814 in Audley, Staffordshire. Census location:Witton Gilbert in Durham
Sarah Brooks (Wife) born about 1815 in Audley, Staffordshire. Census location: Witton Gilbert in Durham

Thanks Willow,
Thats what I thought, but I have been caught out before by making assumptions.I thought that the best bet was, to
ask the experts. The area takes many different forms from Talk,Talke,
Talke oer Hill,Talke oth hill, Talke Pits etc. I could almost guarantee
that a Falkomhill would rear its ugly head sometime in the future,
just to annoy me.
