I was hoping that some kind person would have a look for the parents of William HOUGH ba 1828 Derbyshire on the 1851 Derbyshire census. I know his father was John HOUGH a wheelwright and his mothers name was Ann. William came to Australia in 1849 with his wife Ellen PEET, they were married 6 Feb 1849 St Werburgh ,Derby, Derbyshire so William will not be on the 1851 census. I have checked the IGI for a birth/christening match for William HOUGH ba 1829 father John mother Ann with no luck. 
I have looked at the 1861 census for John and Ann with no luck.
If any one could have a look at the 1841 census for this HOUGH family it would be greatly appreciated. 
Any advice on how else I could go about finding his parents and siblings would be helpful.

Can't see anything for them in the 1851 census index. There are several John's and Ann's but not living together.

The info you have given gives me so much more to work with now.
Thanks Jan for the info on Ellen Peet. Her father was Isaac and mother Judith so it is the correct family. I believe they also came to Australia.
