DENNIS fmily Penzance 1940's
« on: Monday 31 March 08 22:08 BST (UK) »

On a regular basis I make this request in the hope someone new is on the lists or found some new family lines
Margaret and Jack Dennis lived at:
Bossullow, New Bridge P6, Penzance July 1945
and wrote to my Grandmother Jane Barker nee Pascoe (Daughter of Benjamin Eddy PAscoe of St Just in P and Honor Williams of St Just in P

Margaret called her cousin Janie she wanted my Dad (who was serving in Italy to try and come and stay if on leave)

Would love to find out how Margaret was related, giving a close line possibly still in Cornwall. Have tried endlessly the John/Jack scenario to find a possible marriage, written to Dennis family still in Penzance, but nothing.

Always hopeful, so any Dennis researchers know these names??
Bye

Hi Althea,

Do you know Jack was her husband? Could he have been a son perhaps? I have found a possible burial, but husband appears to be Charles. Guess Jack could even be a nickname  Undecided Or this is not the people you are after Roll Eyes

Margaret Jane DENNIS was buried Penzance 30 Mar 1967 Age 76
Charles DENNIS was buried with her 27 May 1961 Age 71

Death doesn't list a middle initial for Charles.

Does Rogers mean anything?

Charles DENNIS = Margaret J ROGERS Dec 1/4 1917 Penzance 5c 413

Margaret Jane ROGERS was born Mar 1/4 1891 Penzance 5c 260

She is the daughter of Daniel b about 1849 Penzance and Mary Ann b abt 1852 Gulval (1891 census)

Possible marriage for Daniel DENNIS = Mary Ann RICHARDS Dec 1/4 1872 Penzance 5c 449

Charles DENNIS was born Sep 1/4 1890 Penzance 5c 255

Charles was the son of William b abt 1854 Pendeen and Mary A abt 1856 Gorran (1891 Census)

Possible marriage William Mitchell DENNIS = Mary Ann BAIRD Sep 1/4 1878 Penzance 5c 389
