Hi
I anyone able to look up 1851 census for Auchterarder.
Elizabeth Kerr was born there approx 1848, I am hoping this might find her family

Had a look for you this afternoon and here we are :
71 Main Street (North side), Auchterarder
Margaret (43), HEAD, MAR, Cotton Winder, b. Auchterarder
Janet (18), DAU, SIN, Hand Loom Weaver, b. Auchterarder
Margery (16), DAU, SIN, Hand Loom Weaver, b. Auchterarder
Margaret (14), DAU, SIN, Hand Loom Weaver, b. Auchterarder
James (12), SON, SIN, Hand Loom Weaver, b. Auchterarder
Alexander (10), SON, SIN, b. Auchterarder
William ( , SON, SIN, b. Muckhart
Elizabeth (5), DAU, SIN, b. Auchterarder
I noticed that she was married but her husband was not there so I looked up the OPR baptism registers for the children, however, I could only find Janet listed :
It read :
b. 23.02.1832, bap. 20.5.1932
Daughter, Janet, to James Kerr, Carnworth (?), and Margaret Allan
I wondered if they moved out of the town centre after Janet was born and perhaps lived somewhere between Auchterarder and Yetts of Muckhart - William appears to have been born there - then moved back again ??
Anyway, hope this helps.

For your information by 1870 she is married to a relative in New York, and like you I had not been able to find a likley birth.
