Can anyone help me locate the baptism of William Cocks.  From his death cert, I know he was born in 1816 and according to the census records, he was born in Hampton Wick.
Also:
I have many relatives who originate from the Kingston area (I have found the Life cycle web site which is brilliant) but I'm now trying to trace back even further.  I have been hunting for a CD of the Kingston Parish records and can't seem to find one anywhere.  I don't live close enough to visit.  Any ideas???

Hi KPM,
Your best bet would be to contact the East Surrey Family History Society as I couldn't find him on the LDS IG Index.  They have some publications & CD's but I didn't see any for Kingston.  Normally PR's are on micro fiche which would require a reader, either your own or some library's have one.

Thanks for the advice - I have recently sent an e mail to the East Surrey FHS and am waiting for their response.
As for the micro fiche - we have a very accomodating Records office who allow us to use their reader!!.
