Richard Simmonds - 1847- 1857

Richard Simmonds b<1810>, wife Caroline b. 1822 Wellington Salop. children Elizabeth b.1842, Richard b.1844 and Mary b.1847 all born Trewern Montgomeryshire.

They cannot be found on the 1851 census, could anyone find them on a passenger ship? It is possible that Richard was in prison or was transported, if so, why can't I find Caroline and children?

Caroline remarried as a widow in 1857 at Aston Warwickshire.

Any help would be appreciated.
