I have been advised that this comes under Cheshire for census, rather than Lancashire.

I don't have much to go on, unfortunately, as I'm struggling to find anything on my 3xgrandmother prior to her marriage and she appears to have been born just before the start of civil registration.

All I have is from her marriage certificate:

Elizabeth CLEGG born c.1837, father John CLEGG, occupation CLOGGER.  The address on her marriage certificate simply says HYDE for the place of abode.

She gives Hyde as her birthplace in 61/71/81 and 91

I think I'm onto a loser with this one, aren't I?
