Hi there Lazarus
Are you sure the children's surname is Wyatt? I've checked for Henry and Elizabeths together in 1861 but have found none that fit.
Here's the rest of the family though, still at Blackshaw,Glossop.
Cephas Wyatt abt 1831 Glossop, Son Ellen Wyatt abt 1799 Glossop, , Wife Ellen Wyatt abt 1840 Glossop, Daughter Joseph Wyatt abt 1789 Glossop, Head Joseph Wyatt abt 1843 Glossop, Son Mary A Wyatt abt 1837 Glossop, Daughter
Are the two youngsters also born in Glossop on the 1851?
I did find a Henry and Elizabeth WIGHT,but she was only 7 and he 11,with a step dad called Harrison, mum maybe remarried.......but not really convinced
Regards
Carol

Don't know if this may be a red herring but the childrens dates seem to fit.
RG9/1961/93/16
Repton.
Elizabeth Wayte head widow age 38 annuitant born Birmingham.
Henry son age 11
Elizabeth dau age 10
Thomas son age 9
William son age 7
All children born Repton Derbyshire.
Fanny Glover and Emma Brooks servants. Seems as if there is money somewhere and may fit in with your Wyatts as the name could be transcribed as Wayte.
What do you think Carol?

HI Nessie
Probably not I'm afraid to say. Repton to Glossop is about 50 miles Don't think you'd say one if you meant the other. But of course as we all know stranger things have happened.
Rex, I've seen your other posts on this subject and am intrigued by the White/Tagg link.Don't discount this, just say Wyatt out loud and you can easily get White......especially to people with different accents or those who are a bit mutt and Jeff (deaf)
I'll come back to this later after I've been round Sainsburys

Have you ever thought of applying for the birth certs
These two might well be them .Unfotunately the ref number for Elizabeth is not clear and therefore it could not be transcribed on Free BMD. Hayfield is also described as Glossop.
You can get them from http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/Login.asp at a cost of £7 and they do now post abroad.
Births Sep 1849 WYATT Elizabeth Hayfield 19 *
Births Mar 1850 Wyatt Henry Hayfield &c. 19 555
All the best
