Names taken from the Photograph of the Monument at Canterbury Cathedral – the Memorial to the 1st Buffs – depicts names of those killed in action – or died of wounds – between 1895 and 1898 during which period the battalion was actively engaged in the Chitral and Punjab frontier campaigns.
