Don't know whether "original owner" means the person making the request, if so one of mine is on here having been cleaned up, you are welcome if you want to use it.
Good luck with the presentation, wish I could be there!

The procedure to use these photo's is to send a PM to the original poster to ask for their permission to use the original. Once you have secured their permission you next ask the restorer if you can use their work. Although there is no legal obligation to do so it is just a common courtesy. Also as Trystan says a little bit of credit to Rootschat Forum would be appreciated.

Meldrew - Please don't go
From the posts of yours I've come across you seem to be a cheerful chappy who is always willing to help, you'd be missed so please think again.
I don't know which post it is that has upset you but if it's appropriate you could advise a moderator on that board, or maybe a PM to the individual concerned to let them know how you feel as sometimes people do forget that their words can be taken at face value in a post when really there intended message is not anythingl like the words that appear on the screen
Tabitha P.S. If I knew where you were I'd bring you round a nice cuppa tea and a few hobnobs to try and put the smile back on your face
P.P.S. Oh, Nearly forgot to say... Well Done on your presentation and for recruiting some new members

Congrats Meldrew, I'm glad your presentation was a success and the rootschatters' efforts were of use!
PLEASE don't stop contributing to the restoration board... I know it's difficult sometimes, and some people can be - shall we say - less than tactful when they post.
We all have different ideas about what we like and what we don't. Some of us like colour, some dont. Some like sepia, some don't. Some like bright colours, some like pale tinting....all we can do is make our own contributions to someone's request, the best we know how, and if someone doesn't like it, and can't give constructive criticism, then phooey to them!
The best thing about Rootschat, and the restoration board in particular, is the great learning experiences. I myself have even learned to like colourised pictures, something I never in a million years thought would happen to a photograph purist like me And part of that lesson was learnt from you, so I hope you decide to stay.
