Parish Records Crediton - Crossman Surname

Hi

Would anyone be able to look at the parish records for Crediton. I am interested in the marriage of a Sarah Hubber to a William Crossman which was in 1830/1. I already no the name of the Brides father but I am trying to find out who William Crossman's father was and I am hoping that the parish records would show. If it is not shown on the marriage record then I know that he was baptised in 1809 but I am not sure if this was in Crediton or Sandford. Thanks in advance

Hi Steph,

pre 1837 marriages did not show the fathers name or profession on the forms.Just the parish they came from or if they were resident in that parish.

Hi Steph

According to the IGI William Crossman was born in Credition Dev and it also shows his marriage there to Sarah Hubbard as being about 1829 Credition Dev, sorry there were no other details.
