Hi

Unfortunately I've been looking at Richard Blunden bapt in Bosham and cannot find any trace of him, he seems to have disappeared. Edward looks promising as Climping is not that far from Binsted, although it looks like I've found William baptised in Slindon along with his three sisters, Joan, Elizabeth & Sarah. His parents were William Blundell & Joan Kelsie who married in 1676. I'll have a look at Climping. Thanks

Slindon looks to be a good lead.

I checked out the BIVRI index tonight,  parishes around Binsted are not covered to any great extent but did notice a large hot spot of early Blundell's in West Sussex in Nuthurst and many in Brighton in the 1800's,  some distance from Binsted but may be of future interest to you.

My own Binsted dead end is locating the christening of William Hotson(various spellings) most probably in 1779.

Glad that I re-visited my Binsted stuff again,  think that I may have discovered a clue where to look for my lost William so have just ordered a number of PR fiches from Chichester.   Should keep me busy while munching through turkey and rubbish food this Christmas.

Hi again.
Can you tell me where Binsted is?Is it near Worth or Horsted Keyes?
If it is maybe my Mary is connected to the Binsted Blundells!
     Thanks Jean.

Hi
Binsted Parish is near to Arundel, I shouldn't think as the crow flies it is not too far from Horsted Keynes. If you go to the Sussex Family History Group web-site there is a parish map for you to look at. It is also a very informative site.

I do have an old fiche reader on permanent loan.

And Binsted is miles away from Worth and Horsted Keynes,  perhaps 30 miles or so.

Will keep an eye out for Blundell's.  I have fiche for the parish of Ford,  a very small parish in close proximity to Binsted so will take a look later tonight.
