William Wallace - Veteran of Moturoa

**COMPLETED**James Wallace-I have lost this line of the family!

Hi,
I don't know if any one out there can help me, but I can find absolutely nothing on this line of my family tree.
the info I have is that 3 brothers came to NZ in 1846.
These brothers were Arthur Wallace, John A> McK. Wallace & James Wallace.

I have quite a bit of info on the first two, but can find nothing at all about James or what happened to him after he arrived in NZ.

This is what I do know about James:
B. Connor, Ireland in 1826.
4/8/1844 - Enlisted in 65th Regiment, Private 2153, adged 17. Height 5'7.5".
3/8/1845 - Embarked on 'Samuel Boddington" as guard on convict ship to Van Diemens Land.
13/6/1846 - Transhipped to Sydney on 'Joseph Soames". Sailed for NZ on 'Levant"
25/7/1846 - Arrived in Wellington
1/8/1846 - Arrived Porirua Barracks on 'Calliope"
1847 - Transferred to Wanganui
3/12/1849- Sought discharge at Wanganui.
He may have shifted to Taranaki, but I could not be sure of that.

Does any one know what happened to him? Was he married when he came to NZ or did he marry here?  Does anyone think that they may be descended from James?
Or did he go back to Ireland?  Huh  Huh

Lack of mobility and finances prevent me from travelling to Wanganui to try to trace him and I am hoping that someone will be able to help me breakthrough this brick wall.

Thanks & God bless you all.
Regards
Lyn
