If it is not on the IGI then you need to search parish records as it is likely that she married pre 1837.   You can order the films from your nearest LDS centre - listed on familysearch.org.  They are worldwide.    As you do not have any idea where she married you need to start in Jarrow and work out!   A long task ahead unless you are very lucky and there are transcripts available.

found a marriage for a Mary Squires June 1843 Newcastle upon Tyne reg. no 25 359 found on free bmd

There are no possible spouses mentioned on that particular record.    You would need to check the original on 1837online.com to make sure it was not Robert Meggison.
I generally assume that you will have checked the free sites before posting.  Have you tried Durhamrecordsonline?

Looked on 1837online for you Peggy - sorry, no Robert Meggison matched the marriage date of the Mary Squires in 1843 in Newcastle.

However, as she was born in 1823, and it's in the right area, this entry seems more than very likely, but without her husband's name it's not possible to know for certain.

Do you not have any other info at all ?? children names and dates for example ??
