manchester telephone exchange

does anyone know where  i contact to findout about a telephone exchange in manchester my grandmother worked there from leaving school until she met and married my grandfather in 1933,so i would imagine that she worked there in the late 20,s untill 1933.

There are a few photos of telephone exchanges on the Manchester Libraries site, including one labelled "New Telephone Exchange, Manchester" from 1928. Doesn't give the address, but it looks an impressive place.

http://www.images.manchester.gov.uk  and search for "telephone".
