Do any RootsChatters have ancestors who worked for Pearson's Pottery? This company have been producing stoneware in Derbyshire since 1810 when an existing pottery was acquired by Catherine Pearson. The company grew during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, absorbing other potteries from time to time and adapted its production to suit the needs of the period.
One of the pottery's employees in the second half of the 19th century was a Scottish Master Potter from Edinburgh, the father of Sir Harry Lauder, who unfortunately died from pneumonia at the early age of thirty two.
