Here's another wonderful tool to finding ancestors. There's over 4,000 prisoner records online from rioting, breach of trust to more serious charges - Unfortunately my smuggler wasn't amongst them

The charge was - Drunk and refusing to fight. On appeal I had my sentence reduced to being handcuffed to a black pudding for a fortnight.
