I'm looking for the marriage record of Frederick Pepper and Hilda Mary Weston in October 1934.
Fred is my husbands late grandad and we sent for his army records and came upon this, a wife that no one knew about, or that had never been mentioned anyway (he married my husbands late grandma in 1949)
It states that the marriage took place at Stockton, Durham. Had a look on ancestry but couldnt find anything. If it was carried out by the army chaplain would it be recorded somewhere else or will it be on 1837online still?
Can anyone find a record or the marriage/any children, Hildas death, etc......also, where would I find a record of their divorce, if she didn't die prior to him marrying again in 1949....

Marriages from period Oct-Nov-Dec 1934
Stockton 10a 137
It shows Frederick Pepper (with bride's surname as Weston)

Thanks very much Sue, just need to find a divorce/death now!! Havent a clue where to look though because Fredericks address when he joined the army in 1922 was Mansfield, Nottingham, then he had various addresses overseas with Hilda (didnt know wives were allowed to go to Cairo, etc?!), the marriage in Co. Durham, he had a Richmond Yorks address, then Gainsborough, Lincs address and finally he settled in Scunthorpe, Lincs where he met my husbands grandma!!

look at this web site it is the Indexes for Stockton on Tees, www.teesvalley-indexes.co.uk the marriage of frederick pepper to Hilda M.Weston is here 1934 as you said, there are 3 children for Stockton with the name Pepper, not say they are Fredericks.
