Does some kind person have access to Tasmanian Immigration Records?
Albert Hall was born in Sheffield in 1864 and he seems to have left England between 1868 & 1871 and I believe he went to Tasmania with his father James and possibly siblings Kate, William, Lelia & Anne.
Is there any chance of finding a record of his arrival in the colonies?
Can anyone help me with this one please?

Thanks so much for your interest. The marriage in Tasmania of Albert to Alice is indeed that of my folks and it is marvellous to now have a date for their wedding. The marriage of Kate Hall to William Kennedy certainly looks as if it is Albert's sister as the age fits perfectly!
I did look at the Victorian records on line without much success but I will certainly take your advice and look at the two websites your suggest.
Albert was not in England for the 1871 census but he I believe he was still in England in 1868 when his mother died as he was only 4 years old at the time.
The shipping records will most likely hold the key to which members of the family immigrated and on which ship they arrrived. They certainly did not go to NSW first so it is either Victoria or Tasmanian. Where to look next do you think?
