Electoral Rolls Newcastle 1945-1955

Would anybody know if the Electoral rolls for newcastle 1945-1955 are online
I`ve just discovered I have  uncle I didnt know about I`m trying to track down a John Vasey Born in whitby between 1910-1923 all I know about him was he was in the army during the war and that he moved to Newcastle sometime after it.Dont know if he married a whitby lass or if his wife was from Newcastle If any of his descenants are reading this please get in contact.

The Newcastle Public Library has Electoral Registers for many years - including I'm sure - the period of time you are interested in.  I don't know if they are on line - but very much doubt it.

Unfortunately the information is arranged by voting wards and addresses within those areas and looking for your uncle will be one massive challenge. 

If you could pinpoint the marriage to a specific time and place of registration it may give you a clue as to where they might have lived.

With a surname like Vasey it shouldn't be too long a task to find his marriage. Ha ha!

If he was born in 1910 then the earliest you would be looking at for his marriage is 1926.  If it is 1923 then 1939 is probably your starting date.

Good luck.  Don't give in.  It is amazing how much you learn when you start.
