GALLON/BELL, Hebron, Woodhorn 1841/1851

Looking for Robert Gallon who married Elizabeth Bell 1808 Hebron.  I think Elizabeth may have been the daughter of Thomas Bell and Elizabeth and was bp 1777 Woodhorn.  I know that Robert Gallon and Elizabeth baptised their son Edward at Woodhorn in 1811 (he later married Lucy Lickfold in 1835)

Are Robert and Elizabeth by any chance still in Woodhorn or Hebron in 1841 and 1851.  A lookup or any other help or information would be very much appreciated.

Northumberland is completely new territory for me - I would love to know how Lucy Lickfold born Yapton Sussex came to meet Edward Gallon born Woodhorn, Northumberland and why they got married in Rothwell, Yorkshire!  They later moved back to Yapton and ran an inn. Who said our ancestors didn't travel?

Hello,

Any idea where Edward  married Lucy LICKFIELD in 1835.  That's a lot closer to 1841 so may give an indication of where they were living on the census.

The 1841 census isn't indexed, so takes ages to trawl through.

There is no sign of Robert & Elizabeth on the 1851 census for Woodhorn, Widdrington, Bothal & Felton ...  HO107/2418 Folios 461 - 641
