I recently purchased a will for Robert McLuckie which was said to be 256 pages. When I started looking the first three pages were for Robert McLuckie and the rest are various other wills including Robert Kincaid, madder dyer of Lennox Mill died 6th December, 1874, William Carson, House painter husband of Helen Reddie and there must be many many more.
I have emailed Scotland's People to tell them of the missing wills but have had no reply.

It's been some time since this post so perhaps the problem has been resolved.
If not, all I can say is send another e-mail. I do not understand this at all. I have downloaded a number of wills and they are nowhere near thatnumber of pages. One of my relatives was in the iron/steel business and was very wealthy. Even his will did not exceed 16 pages.
I have had the very odd problem with "SCotland's People" and each time they have responded quickly and completely resolved the problem.
SP have replied and refunded my money but the will still remains as 256 pages.

Good to know you got a refund. Did they say anything about the will you were looking for? My guess is that 3 pages might be O.K. Careful reading would show if it started and ended at the right place. It sounds like SP gave you just about evrybody's will all at once.
I would think it is a whole reel of wills all from Stirlingshire. It is shame that people are missing out on their ancestor's wills as it is not indexed.
