Somewhere between 1854 and 1876Barnabas Critchfield SUTTON took his family from Norfolk to the British Cape Colony in South Africa. He worked as a copper miner and is buried at O'okiep Cemetery, Northern Cape.

I have checked 1841, 1851 and 1861 census for England and found Jane and her children never found Barnabas on an England census
Passenger lists seem to be my only hope
