Thank you Arranroots,
So much for my Builder from Birmingham - I ended up with a Stone Cutter from Gloucester - that's Family History.
Many thanks for all your help
Happy Hunting Regards Di

Ooh Sue! Isn't that fascinating?
Baugh's Yard may have become Balls Yard over the 10 year period 1851-1861, do you think? I love the way words change, and it could just be an enumeration error, but that is how these things evolve!
Even more interesting for me, as there is a BAUGH in my in-laws family tree.
Quite a gentle description of poor Thomas, too. Bonus maiden name for you, Di!
I'll be quiet now - easily excited!

Hello there Di, Here they are in 1851 - Baughs Yard, Leominster William Niblett 43 Head Mar Stone Mason Gloucestershire Elizabeth Niblett 42 Wife Mar Stone Mason's wife Herefordshire, Leominster Sarah Niblett 14 Daur '' '' Thomas Niblett 13 Son Errand Boy '' '' Henry Niblett 9 Son Scholar Herefordshire, Hay William Niblett 8 Son '' '' '' Eliza Niblett 3 Daur Herefordshire, Leominster Thomas Williams 26 B-in-L Un Unsound mind '' '' (HO107/ 1981/ p194b) Best Wishes, Sue Thank You Sue and Arranroots,
The Thomas Williams (B-I-L) confirms that we have the right family. Knew William had married Elizabeth Williams so it is great to know details of the family.
The daughter's marriage cert said that William Niblet was a builder(??) - I guess he built houses using "stone" (or wishful thinking on the daughters part)
Oh well, back to the Yellow Brick Road - it has to lead somewhere!!
Thank you both Regards Di
