Eliza Brenzer or Brenner High Halden
« on: Thursday 09 March 06 15:00 GMT (UK) »

      Hi everyone,

Can anyone help or come up with suggestions?

My G.G.G.M was an Eliza Brenzer or Brenner whose place of birth in various censuses was given as High Halden in Kent circa 1808.

She married my G.G.G.F Samuel Gutsull/Goodsell in Etchingham in 1830.

Having looked in I.G.I can find no mention of High Halden church records.

Would be interested in any clues anyone can give me.

                                       Many thanks

Hi,

As you've already discovered  St. Mary the Virgin, High Halden isn't in the IGI. There are however some enteries, if you're lucky, which have been addes by individuals (some of my Jennings are recorded). The Kent Family History Society include High Halden marriages on their CD12

http://www.kfhs.org.uk/

and there are also MI's recorded:

http://www.kentarchaeology.org.uk/Research/Libr/MIs/MIslist.htm

and  more on a KFHS Fiche.

Apart from these records, when I last looked at  the PR's, the microfilm copy was in the Centre for Kentish Studies in Maidstone.

Hope this is of use

Hi Ron

This is an old request so I don't know if you are still looking for Eliza's baptism but, if so, there are now some High Halden parish records on the IGI (batch number C033828) including the baptism of an Eliza BUMGER (sic) 1810.  I wonder if this is a mistranscription for something else Undecided
