Please, is there an entry for:
Mark BATES, he was a machine owner, or farmer, in the Gosberton area in Lincs? If you notice any other entry for BATES in the same area that would be wonderful too.

Westhorpe is about 1 1/4 miles west of Gosberton
Other Thrashing machine owners with the surname Bates are:-

Thank you again for thinking of me Trisha.
I wonder if that is my GGreat Grandma. She was Mrs Eliza (not Elizabeth) Bates, in 1926 her husband had already died. She died in 1931, so her sons would have taken over by the 1933 directory.
I'd be interested to know if anyone else thinks if that could be my Eliza on the directory. (She was known as Eliza on the census and on her marriage certificate but never Elizabeth. I do not have her birth certificate, her maiden name was Brown bn c1847 Quadring, there are quite a few listed on freeBMD).

I would like to know if there is a George WOOD listed, Gosberton area, but I do not know what occupation he had . His wife was Kate, formerly Haresign. His farther was William Draper WOOD, same area.
