Please would some kind person do me a look up for John Heron born England about 1860, his wife Elizabeth born England about 1861. Much Appreciated. Thank you. gladys1

John Heron and his wife Elizabeth could have immigrated in 1881 after the the census was taken in April so please could i have have that look up. Much Appreciated. Thank you. gladys1

There's a John & Elspeth (not Elizabeth) HERON in the 1900 census for Baldwin, Alleghany, Pennsylvania

Hard to say if they are yours, do you have ANY details for John & Elizabeth?

This couple says J was b Sept 1859 in Eng, they've been md 16 years and E was born June 1862. They had 7 children, only 5 are alive, they immigrated 1883 and he has his first papers for naturalization

Children are:
John 13
Mary C 11
Isabella 9
William 5
Elsdon 1

If this is the family you want I can go back and get the exact birth dates for the children. They were all born Pennsylvania. John is a coal miner, so is his son John age 13

Hi Gladys1:

After reading your request here I couldn't resist doing an Internet search for Elsdon Heron. I found three of your people (I presume) at the following website:

John Heron, Elsdon Heron, and Ralph Heron were involved in a rescue at a coal mine in Hartley, Northumberland in 1862. Along with many others, they received a silver medal and a monetary reward for their effort. Perhaps these three Herons are brothers of Thomas Mowbray Heron (all f whom I saw on your website)? They would seem to fit the time period.

Incidentally, I was raised not far from Baldwin, Pennsylvania--to which John Heron and family emigrated.

Hello jonnyboy thank you for taking the time to send me this and for looking on my web site and yes Thomas Mowbray Heron is the brother of Elsdon, John and Ralph as you have seen. I already have that Hartley disaster information, by that was tragic as well.

Hello ellio since getting this message from jonnyboy i thought i would ask you if you would go back again like you said to pick up the exact birth dates of the children and yes John Heron is my relation and i would appreciate it if you would send the immigration and John`s first papers for naturalization please. I have the census for John and Elespeth/Elizabeth in Baldwin Pennsylvania.
