McAlpine Maternity Manchester 1920

Hi
I am looking to find the records of my grandmother she was sent to the above home, when she found herself pregnant and unmarried.  her confinement  was between Jan to Aug 1920, and then was transfered to another home in another county

She came from wales to the above home unmarried had her daughter( my mother).

Has any one any idea s whom I should contact to see if I can find the above records. I would also like to know if there is any way I can find out if my mother was baptized I have no idea where to start.

My grandmothers name was Jane Davies and her daughter Maude Davies.
