Yes I bet you're feeling annoyed about that ! Sorry I don't know where the post went, but I can pass on a tip that I've found useful:
If I am sending a longer posting, I type it in an editor first, and then copy and paste to RootsChat. If the computer has a glitch, I still have the message, and if the worst comes to the worst, and RootsChat is too busy to accept anything, I can save the file and try again later.

There is something else as well. IF you're posting to a forum, make sure that you scroll down below the "STICKY" posts (the ones that ALWAYS stay at the beginning of the forum) and then you'll find your post as the newest.
Its a bit disconcerting to look at a forum right after your post and not see it - but if there are STICKY posts there, your post is most likely below the stickies. In the Devon forum, for example new posts dont start until halfway down the screen.

Okay, So I do it that way too, but for a completely different reason – and I bet on the sly, Bob has the same reasoning but doesn’t like to own up to it. I am a finicky sod and don’t like spelling or punctuation mistakes, so be doing a check in “word” (on top of my own check) it helps eliminate those possible errors. An added bonus is that I can save my posts either to continue later (if it is a long one) or as future reference. Denn
