Looking for my Grandmothers parents Margaret Telford I know her father was Jack Telford and I assume he was christened John Telford. My Grandmother was born in the Carlisle area in 1908 if anyone can help with any information please let me know.

Hi Steven,
The best thing would be to send for her birth certificate, this will give you her fathers name(either John or Jack) and her mothers maiden name. There is on one Margaret Telford born in Carlisle in 1908 on FreeBMD-

Births Mar 1908
Telford  Margaret    Carlisle  10b 616

After you have her certificate you can then look for her parents marriage, and then find them on the 1901 census.
