The 1881 census for England and Wales can be searched for free on the Mormon site, but is there anywhere the Scottish 1881 census can be viewed for free please?

I don't know if you can view it online anywhere but you can buy it for round about twenty two pounds direct from LDS.

I'm sure if you post who you're looking for, you'll get plenty of help here.

Quite a few libraries have a copy on cd that you can search.  It's worth trying.
