Thanks Dona for all your help, i have worked out from the 1841 cencus that Joseph was born in 1786 which does not match the Joseph born 1783,does it not state who his parents were on his marrige certificate thanks Baza.

Hi Baza the fathers name will not be on the marriage certificate the fathers name wasn't add until 1837 i think there was a few before that but i have never seen one the ages on the 1841 census are not always right they where rounded up or down (if a man was say 37 he might be put as 35 or 40) so the 1851 is best for your Joseph, the marriage cert might have his age on but a lot of the time it just Say's of full age which could be anything 21 or over
