Hi all,
I don't have much information to go on but I am hoping someone can help me find a marriage for ROBERT SIMMONDS (born Sherborne c1844) to Sarah (surname unknown) born c1844 in Crewkerne.
The marriage would have been around 1862. Sarah's maiden name may possibly have been Churchill.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Blue,
This may not much use, but here's an idea.
I found Robert and Sarah Simmonds and their two children in the 1871 census. With them was a 13 year old visitor born Crewkerne. I thought her name read Emily Fell but it was transcribed as Sell and when I looked further someone had posted a correction saying 'this record refers to Emily Augusta Tett, born Crewkerne 1858'.
I couldn't find her in the 1861 census (goodness knows what she could have been called!) but just out of interest I looked for and found a Sarah A. Tett, born Crewkerne c 1844, servant in the household of Wm Evans, Crewkerne.
My thinking is that Emily could have been Sarah's sister ...
Emily married Robert Arnold in 1880. They are living with Joseph and Susan Tett in 1881.
Just a thought!

Sarah TETT in 1863 in Sherbourne, Dorset
March Quarter 5a 559
So now you can order the certificate online at

quoting the info given
It will cost £7.00 and take about 3/6 days to arrive.
