Better late than never - just starting out

Hi from newbie - Aston born
« on: Monday 19 September 05 09:58 BST (UK) »

Hi - just discovered rootschat.  I was born in Aston and most of my family come from there and from Brimingham.  I am investigating putting up the little I know so far about family connections in the area, but would love to hear from anyone who knew the families or has connections.  I am trying to find the link for the family "legend" that the James Hinks who bred the English Bull Terrier was a relation of ours.  My great grandmothers maiden name was Sarah Hinks, daughter of joseph H Hinks and the family were boot and shoe makers/repairers.  Cant find any link to the James Hinks publican though!  Have photos however and  the family resemblence is staggering.

When I have discovered how to do it will put up my gedcom file  Huh

In the meantime, hello  Smiley
