Potshare Bowling
« on: Monday 19 September 05 20:57 BST (UK) »

I recently found out that my great-grandfather Robert Ward of Bebside (Bob Ward) set a potshare bowling record which remained unbroken at the time of his 90th Birthday in 1944 (as per a newspaper article in Blyth Library)

Can anyone local tell me more about what potshare bowling was?

Thanks,  Anne

Many thanks for that-I had seen this article before; I am quite interested in finding out how it was played, etc which I cannot find on any search website.

It's still interesting though!

Any old Bebsiders out there who may know anything about Potshare bowling?
