Hello,
        Is anyone   researching the  name Higgins,
I am looking  any info: on birth /family of
  Mary Ann Higgins   
she was born in Deptford,  Kent but ended up in London
not sure of her date of birth,   but she married   a 'William Suggett  in    1848   in Bethnal Green
I  would appreciate any  help

This is an interesting census entry on the 1861 census

RG9 200 folio 93
St Luke  Middlesex 
Jno Higgins 31  Bethnal Green, Middlesex, Head  Married General Dealer
Susan Higgins 26 Deptford, Kent, Wife  Married 
Mary Ann Higgins 8 Southwark Daughter 
Wm Gerrard 17  Deptford, Kent, Brother-in-law Firewood cutter
Jas Suggett 15 Bethnal Green, Middlesex,  Nephew  Firewood cutter
Wm Suggett 12  Bethnal Green, Middlesex,  Nephew  Firewood cutter
plus 2 boarders and a young female servant.
The census enumerator merely puts the number of the house - 14 not the street name on each page.

You might want to request a look up in Bethnal Green on the 1851 census for William, Mary and their two sons.
