Great Thanks Nicki and Suepip,
This gives me something to go on. It seems to have taken me ages to find Ellen's maiden name .... and as to her marriage - that suddenly turned up in the FreeBMD data.
Now Booom! Boom! - a father, a mother, three sisters and a brother.
The occupations, whatever they are, make quite a change - most of my Bridport family are spinners and combers in the Rope-making trade.

Thanks for that. I had forgotten that this thread was still open
In February through a query for Richards in Norton Sub Hamdon and Bridport on Curious Fox I amazingly received several pages of Richards ancestry, several pages of Woodwards and a few Jestys - which confirmed where I had got to so far and also provided at least another generation back. Also I was able to confirm a couple of proposed marriages - as I had bought the certificates!
The Woodward triplets, Caroline, Ellen and James 16/7/1820 all died young, at 5 mths, 9 mths and 1 yr.
Emily Gollop Woodward married Thomas Richards
Walter Woodward married Charlotte Richards &
Ellen Woodward married George Frederick Richards ...... the three Richards were also siblings - the tree gets a bit convoluted at this stage!
