Swedish or Finnish churches
« on: Tuesday 17 August 04 15:13 BST (UK) »

Hi,
Can anybody help?
I'm trying to find a Swedish or Finnish church in Liverpool during the 1800's.
I've been told there was a Swedish church close to the city centre, but can't find any record of it.
I'm trying to find a marriage between a Finnish seafarer and a devout Irish Catholic girl. I've tried the Catholic churches in that area with no success, and they're not listed on the St Caths either.
If anyone has any suggestions about what else I can try, I would be grateful.
I've been looking this up for about four or five months for someone in America and I'm at a complete loss.
Many thanks

Hi there,

According to the Liverpool churches page on Genuki, there was/is a Scandinavian Church in Park Lane, Liverpool, within 2 miles of the city centre, founded before 1902.  I can't help with the whereabouts of records.
