I am interested in tracing a James Oliver born 5 December 1900 in Newcastle Australia (?Queensland) his parents were ? Oliver and his mother Caroline? I am tracing my family history and would like to tie this particular family in as they are relatives of my Daughter-in-Law and she would be really interested in any information I could acquire. Apparently his father was from Durham Northern England. If anyone could help I would be grateful.

Newcastle is in New South Wales. It is about 100 ml North of Sydney. It was, until recently (as would be expected from the name) a steel making town.

The following is the on the NSW register
8801/1901  OLIVER  JAMES  JAMES  CAROLINE A  WICKHAM   
(parents James and Caroline)
If the birth was in December it is quite possible the register year is 1901.

This MAY be the death of caroline

Teralba is north of Newcastle - this may be a clue as to where the children lived.

There are a few marriages for James Oliver between 1920 and 1930 - this one is in the Newcastle area
