Hi Can anyone help with a look-up in the 1841 census for Keith Catto and his father Alexander Catto. Alexander died in the November of 1841 in the House of Industry in Alverstoke. His age at death was given as 73 but his birth was in fact 1764. His death certificate is miss-spelt as Cato so that miss-spelling might be in the census. I don't know if he was at home for the census or the workhouse.
I'm also looking for Keith Catto/Cato who was born in 1819 and was a boat builder. He might have been in Gosport/Alverstoke for the census. Sometimes Catto is transcribed as Catts.
