Kerrenhapuch

Kerrenhaputch Curtis was b according to IGI 1795. She married John Taylor 9/10/1819 in Charsfield Suffolk.
I am trying to find details of her baptism without success.
It is an unusual first name (deriving from the name of one of Job's daughters). Their sone John also named a daughter Kerrenhapuch. I thought I would find her easier to track down.
Help please!
Thanks in anticipation.
Andy

Hi Andy,
I have just tried Kerrenhaputch on Google and was surprised to see that they came up with 10 pages full if hits on the name. I expect you will have already searched it, but just in case you have not I thought I would mention it to you.
Kind Regards,
Frances

Hi Frances
Thanks for the tip. I had already Googled and was also surprised by the number of references. Unfortunately most of them were U.S. and none of them were 'my' Kerren.
Thanks for looking and for replying.
Regards
Andy

Kerranhapuch, spelt in an amazing variety of ways, especially in early years with lower literacy levels and before standardised spelling, was a biblical name. There is a possibility that her parents were non-conformists - this often applies with biblical names, especially Congregationalists.
Hope this helps, Chris

Thanks Chris
I have found this to be the case with the more unusual Old Testement names, nonconformists or 'devouts'.
I have a Nehemiah Epaphrodites Moon in my tree - and we think modern names like Jordan etc are weird!
Thanks for the reply
Andy
