Hi Guys,
I am interested in finding out about my Great Aunt who immigrated to America. Her name was Jane Ross Gordon Burnett b. 7/11/1881who had married a Henry L.G. Burnett b. 1882 on the 1/01/1904 they were both born and married in Aberdeen. We know that he travelled back and forwards from 1905 - 1907 She set sail with her 2 kids on the SS Numidian 23/8/1912 she was going to America to meet up with her husband possibly in Barre Vermont. Her two kids were Henry aged 8 and Mary aged 7
What I would like to find out is
1. Did they have anymore kids ? 2. When and where did Henry L.G. Burnett die ? 3. When and where did Jane Ross Gordon Allan Burnett die ? 4. Did their kids marry? 5. If so who and did they have any children? 6. Is there any little Burnetts still living or has knowledge of them ?
Any help on this topic is greatly appreciated,
Swally

Hi Swally,
I can give you a couple of bits of information.
According to the 1920 Barre, Vermont census there was a son James, age 1-1/12 years old in addition to Henry and Mary. He was born in Vermont.
The Social Security Death Index has a Henry L. Burnett, born 6 Feb 1904 and died Mar 1989. His last residence was Montpelier, Washington, Vermont.

Yes,
she had married a Harold who was either Norweigen or Scandanavian or something, he was a really huge man who worked in Barre, Vermont but had to have a lung removed. This being the case they moved to AZ for a better climate
This ring any bells?

Maybe someone who has access to the 1930 census could lookup Harolds in Barre. There might be a chance that one of them would have a wife named Mary. If so, then she might be found in the SSDI for a death date.

Fred,
it is his Christiam name that is Harald, his surname is Jensen. I wonder if that sheds some light on the subject.

Swally,
It sheds a lot of light. In the SSDI:
Mary Jensen b. Apr 25, 1905, d. Oct 1987
Last residence: Chino Valley, Yavapai, Arizona
SS# 008-01-4803 issued in Vermont.
I didn't find Harold.
