Movies for Genealogists
« on: Thursday 22 September 05 09:25 BST (UK) »

The always witty Genealogue Blogspot has this thread listing the top ten movies for genealogists:

http://genealogue.blogspot.com/2005/09/top-ten-movies-for-genealogists.html

including:

5. Born on the Fourth of July (According to Wisconsin Vital Records)

4. Analyze This Handwriting

3.There's Something About Marriage Intentions

2. I Know What You Transcribed Last Summer

1.  The Sixth Census

Anyone got any more suggestions? Smiley

cheers

Father Came Too - always a bonus on a census.

Uncle Tom's Cabin - visiting the ancestral home.

The Addams Family - someone's already researched this branch

Father of the Bride - you need to buy the certificate if you want to know his name.

Sons and Lovers - errrr....  no comment!  Shocked

The End of Eternity - when I finally find out who Granddad's father was.

I'm sure there's worse to come!
