Ok, taking Paul E's sage advice. Here's a new competition.
1st prize is a night out playing bingo with the 3rd placed "Cap Wearer of the Year" Durham regional final (Paul will fix it up).
The Challenge...
A census page has (I think) 25 lines from 1851 onwards.
Do you have a full page, regardless of number's of households, where all entries are related.
As a starter for 10, I declare 22 from 1861...
1861 RG9/3916 ED: 12 F: 79 P: 34
Botchergate, Carlisle Robert St Household 1: Isaac Miller Head 50 Bonnongate, Westmorland Horsedealer Sarah Miller Wife 50 Wigton, Cumberland James Miller Nephew 31 Caldbeck, Cumberland George Miller Nephew 22 Law Hesket, Cumberland Ann Donnely Niece 8 Carlisle, Cumberland Jane Young Niece 39 Penrith, Cumberland, Ann Stewart Servant 28 Penrith, Cumberland Benjamin Young Nephew 19 Broughton, Cumberland Jane Young Sis n Law 75 Dalston, Cumberland Jane Lowther Sis n Law 66 Wigton, Cumberland John Lowther Bro n Law 69 Penrith, Cumberland John Young Nephew 16 Brigham, Cumberland Household 2: Joseph Miller Head 28 Carlisle, Cumberland Carter Jane Miller Wife 23 Cockermouth, Cumberland Household 3: Thomas Donnley Head 34 Wigton, Cumberland Carter Sarah Donnley Wife 26 Shelton, Cumberland William Donnley Son 7 Carlisle, Cumberland Isaac M Donnley Son 5 Carlisle, Cumberland James Donnley Son 1 Carlisle, Cumberland Household 4: Henry Miller Head 23 Broughton, Cumberland Carter Sarah Miller Wife 20 Penrith, Cumberland William Miller Son 4m Carlisle, Cumberland
These are all on the same page, neighbours.
So that leaves 3 people on the page that I don't think are related.
So as a side track - does anyone have a full house i.e. a whole FULL page all related to YOU?
(Ann Stewart the servant is a relative)
Out of interest I looked at 1871 and the court changed names to "Miller's Court" now there is a surprise!
Anyone got a full house?

Not a relative, and not a patch on your 22, Pam, and in fact this is lifted from the June Rootschat Challenge:
This is one household in 1861 in Bromborough, Wirral - 8 servants, 8 visitors (including two from New Brunswick and one from Canada) but only 3 family members.
Elizabeth Benbow abt 1842 Montgomeryshire, Wales Servant Elizabeth Birch abt 1817 Liverpool, Lancashire, England Visitor Elizabeth Faber abt 1841 Shropshire, England Visitor Sampson Fell abt 1826 Yorkshire, England Butler Allan Graham abt 1831 Scotland Visitor Janet Hackney abt 1841 Scotland Visitor Jane Jones abt 1826 Montgomeryshire, Wales Servant Agnes Lawrie abt 1836 Scotland Servant Mary Lawson abt 1833 Scotland Servant Charlotte Mackay abt 1858 Liverpool, Lancashire, England Visitor Dunlop Mackay abt 1854 Liverpool, Lancashire, England Visitor Florence Mackay abt 1857 Liverpool, Lancashire, England Visitor Mary McGhie abt 1816 Scotland Servant Isabella McLaughlan abt 1841 Scotland Servant Ann Rankin abt 1812 New Brunswick, St Andrews Wife Ann Rankin abt 1842 Liverpool, Lancashire, England Daughter Robert Rankin abt 1802 Scotland Head Robert Rankin Jr. abt 1831 New Brunswick, Northampton Visitor Barbara Ritchie abt 1838 Canada Niece Mary Taylor abt 1845 Cheshire, England Servant
I think your prize is safe for the moment, Pam!

While looking for a Mary PRATT (as you do) I found this little lot:
RG12/4650 104 7 Glandwr, Abererch, Pwllheli
There are 23 ROBERTS on a page. they are in several households and include a son-in-law WILLIAMS, but there is only Mary and a few JONESes at the bottom of the page who appear to be unrelated to a ROBERTS in some way.
Too late at night to type them all out, but enjoy anyway!

Hi All,
Great this 1851 census isn't it??!!
Have just found 4 families on one page - 18 of them - all are in my tree.
Wallers - Westwoods - Wallers - Peirsons on Tyler St, Hitchin.
Just have to work out who the other 2 are - and I will then have a full count!
Anyone got a John Bennett aged 65 born in Ippollits, Herts and his wife Hannah - I expect they are mine sometime back!!
Anyone beat that!!
Cheers
Keith

That's not fair - there's only 20 names on my page!!
So I claim the prize having 90% of the names against your 88% !!
Only trouble is - as you will see - my family are not from the "Cloth Cap" brigade - as you will notice from my comments here:
http://batemans-history.rootschat.net/yetmorephotos.htm
So can I bring my own headgear?
Cheers
