1841 & 1851 Census Look up Copford/Stanway/Lexden

Trying to locate Thomas Hayward born circa 1811 Copford and family.  Known sons are: Thomas circa 1837 Stanway, John 1843 Stanway and James 1847 Copford.  Although I have found census records for this family from 1861 on, I have not as yet found either 1851 or 1841.  Variation of name may be Haywood, etc.  Were at Ash Green Farm on Colne Road in 1861.  If not in Copford/Stanway perhaps in surrounding area.  Any help greatly appreciated  Thank you.
